I think it shows real strength and real character when a person gravitates away from drama and away from that feeling of needing to impress others.

It certainly impresses me more than someone that constantly seeks validation. Maybe it’s intelligence or maybe it’s just a higher level of self worth that they make the best choices for themselves, not for others.

Either way, life isn’t a popularity contest, it’s all about doing what makes you happy. You shouldn’t be out there trying to prove your better than other people, you should be out there being the best version of yourself. Oh and be nice!
