If you have ever felt that the challenge to become a better version of you is too great and the fear of failure looms heavy on your horizon then learn to take small steps! In keeping with the phrase ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’, we have to be patient in our daily quest to make positive changes and live a happier life.
Choose one aspect of your life that you would improve on first, such as a healthier diet, more exercise, spending more time with family, learning to drive and so on. Ask yourself why you want to do it, what changes you need to make and finally what differences this will make to your life. Write it down, display it where you see it daily and then begin … when it becomes tough go back and think about why you wanted to do it in the first place. Setbacks are inevitable but focus on how far you have travelled rather than the feeling of failure. With every positive small step you take, you are closer to where you want to be and, like me, you may well find yourself having travelled much further than you ever thought possible!
Go on try it!
