Scott J Hamilton is a freelance writer, speaker and positive mindset coach. He is also the Founder of the #BestYouProject and author of “The Positive Mindset Workbook” and the upcoming book “The Little Happiness Handbook”.
Scott shares life lessons, tips and techniques to help the over thinkers and worriers get better control of their mind and show them how easy it is to turn these simple techniques into daily habits that will support and develop into a positive mindset.
He founded the Best You Project as a forum for sharing these life lessons and advice. Scott is quickly establishing himself as an author with his eBook the “Quick Hacks to a Happier Life” self-published in 2017, his useful workbook for individuals and groups “The Positive Mindset Workbook” published in 2019 and the full book “The Little Happiness Handbook” expected to be complete and published later this year. He is also working towards becoming a Keynote Speaker with the ambition to deliver a TEDx talk firmly in his sights.
Author’s Statement
“For those of you that don’t know me, I am just a genuine guy from Scotland with a great passion for helping others and years of experience doing so in fun, easy to follow manner. This lead me to start the now world famous blog (The Best You Project) to share the useful information and techniques that I had learned over the years that I knew would really benefit others.
The blog spread world-wide with followers as far away as Singapore, India, Kenya and beyond. The feedback and comments I received has always been so humbling and supportive, this life changing impact BYP was having on others’ lives lead me onto training as as a professional coach / speaker so I could learn even more useful techniques to share and a platform to voice that help.
Everyone has their troubles and challenges in life, some more than others. A lot of the time though people dwell on their problems and negativity rather than appreciating all the good things they have and having a positive outlook. I mostly share basic tips on how to appreciate what you have, how to feel happier about yourself, and how to set yourself up for success.
My journey into writing started off with simple notes that I would keep for myself to remind me of tips and techniques that I had learned that worked for me or I’d seen working for others but as I learned more and more I thought some of these tips were really worthwhile sharing with others so I started The Best You Project blog.
This re-ignited my passion for writing. The more I researched the more I learned, and the more I learned the more I wanted to share it with others to help them live happier lives and maybe even help them find success.
7 years on I’ve read numerous success / self-help books, been to dozens of Workshops / Training Courses, watched literally thousands of You Tube videos of seminars, audio books, TEDx talks, interviews, training videos and presentations from some of the biggest names in the motivational / coaching industry, and visited over 5,000 websites to find the most useful information and techniques so others don’t have to … all they have to do is visit the Best You Project.
Some of the biggest influences on me so far include:
I love leading and inspiring other people but the most important part of this job is to help people live happier lives. I want to help as many people feel happier about themselves, make the most of what they have and set themselves up to build a life they love, not just tolerate. That is the whole reason I do this, to get people focusing on the good things that are all around them instead of the bad. That is a choice, though many don’t realise yet.
If this doesn’t sound like anything of interest to you then you must be doing well for yourself and be well on top of your insecurities … I congratulate you on that and I thank you for stopping by. For everyone else, I thank you very much for taking the time to visit and I hope you find something useful at the Best You Project. Thanks for stopping by, if you have any feedback, comments or advice on my blog or my writing I’d love to hear them.

Thanks for following my blog. I liked ‘About’ and truly believe that my alternate handwriting practice is a direct way to accentuate the positive!
I absolutely love what your blog is about! My mom raised me with a ‘lessons learned through experience and shared experience’ mentality. I try to take as many positive lessons out of things out of life and learn from the experience of others as much as possible because I don’t believe that one can learn (or should learn) everything through first-hand experience. Happiness true starts with contentment. Oh, and thanks for stopping by my blog!
Thanks so much for the follow! Now I get to explore your awesome site as well! Loves! namaste
